Defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force top hitter Myla Pablo sustained a lower back injury while warming up for Game 3 of the best-of-three semifinals against Creamline.
Myla Pablo was taken out of the game before the match even began after the defending champion Pocari Sweat-Air Force top hitter hurt her back during team warmup Friday in Game 3 of the best-of-three semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Pablo was in obvious pain as the team therapist worked on her back minutes before the do-or-die match of the Lady Warriors and crowd favorite Creamline for the championship berth.
“Pag-receive ko sa warmup na-twist ko yung likod ko. Yung same part na na-injure dati,” Pablo, who averaged 12 points in the first two games of the series and a vital cog in Pocari Sweat’s floor defense, told ABS-CBN Sports.

“Yung bola kasi lumihis, pagtagilid ko biglang parang may nabanat. Masakit talaga,” added Pablo, who was crying in pain as her team marched to battle without its best local scorer.
As of posting, the Cool Smashers took the opening set.
“Di na ata ako makakasok, masakit talaga,” Pablo added.
The franchise player also suffered a lower back injury last year in the middle of the same conference but she was able to recover in time and helped lead her club into the throne.
