Isa Molde and UP sent a statement to start their campaign in the PVL Collegiate Conference
Isa Molde and the rest of the University of the Philippines wasted no time in showing their might in the Premiere Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference Women’s Division.
Molde was the lone player in double-digits, but the entire Lady Maroon machine was fully functional as they blanked University of Perpetual Help, 25-10, 25-12, and 25-23 on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The incoming third-year spiker scored 14 points – eight coming from kills and three each coming from blocks and aces.
She also did her part on defense, tallying eight digs to make sure State U began the conference on the right foot.
After Molde, UP counted seven players contributing four to seven points and took full advantage of sloppy play from their opponents who had 24 errors.
With that, they proved they remain a force to reckon with even with skipper Tots Carlos sidelined for the conference by a shin injury.
For the Lady Altas, Jowie Verzosa was the top scorer with just seven points. With nobody in double-digits, they remain winless in three games.
