BanKo is set to participate in a tournament in Vietnam.

BanKo will test its mettle against some of the best club teams in the region in the 2018 Vin Long Volleyball Tournament set next month.

The Premier Volleyball League club was invited by the Volleyball Federation of Vietnam to join the tournament that will run from September 28 to October 3 in Vinh Long province.

The Perlas Spikers are set to fly to Vietnam on September 26.

BanKo will take on three Vietnam teams and a Thai ballclub in the tournament  which will also serve as a chance for the Perlas Spikers further enhance their level of play for the PVL Open Conference.

"I think it's a good experience for the team, kasi preparation na rin sa All-Filipino (PVL Open Conference),"  said Perlas Spikers head coach Dong Dela Cruz Friday during BanKo's press conference and fans day at the Kia Theatre. "Mas maganda yan na makakalaban namin mga malalakas na teams papunta sa All-Filipino.

Leading BanKo’s campaign are former Ateneo de Manila University standouts Jem Ferrer, Dzi Gervacio, Ella De Jesus and Amy Ahomiro with University of the Philippines’ Nicole Tiamzon, veteran Sue Roces and Adamson stars Joy Dacoron, Amanda Villanueva and Fhen Emnas.

The Perlas Spikers are coming off a breakthrough third place finish in the recently concluded PVL Reinforced Conference with American import Kia Bright and Thai guest player Jutarat Montripila leading the way.

Reigning Reinforced Conference champion Creamline was also invited to join but the Alyssa Valdez-led Cool Smashers begged off from participating.
