PVL: Lady Maroons go for rebound win
University of the Philippines looks to rebound from its previous defeat.

After absorbing its first defeat in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference, University of the Philippines wants a mighty bounce back as the Lady Maroons face a struggling San Sebastian College Wednesday.

The lone women’s action is set at 4:00 p.m. at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The game will air via livestream.

UP sports a 1-1 win-loss record after bowing down to University of Sto. Tomas, 25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 24-26, last Sunday.

Despite the loss, the Lady Maroons saw the rise of rookie Nicole Magsarile. The freshman scored 12 points to backup incoming fourth year Isa Molde, who had 13 markers and 21 digs.

The duo are expected to display the same intensity and offensive firepower against the Lady Stags.

SSC-R, composed of rookies with only one experienced player in Joyce Sta. Rita, is winless in three games tied with NCAA Season 93 runner-up San Beda University.

The Lady Stags only won one set so far in the tournament. It came from SSC-R’s four-set loss to University of Perpetual Help the last time out.
