UP tries to keep F4 hopes alive in clash with former coach
University of the Philippines clashes with College of St. Benilde handled by a familiar face.

Coming off a sorry four-set loss the last timeout, University of the Philippines looks to rediscover its winning ways in a showdown with College of St. Benilde in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Lady Maroons will face their former coach Jerry Yee, who transferred to CSB after leaving UP a year ago, in the lone women’s division match slated at 4:00 p.m. and will air via livestream.

The Godfrey Okumu-mentored UP squad has been hot and cold this conference as the Lady Maroons sport a 2-2 win-loss record at solo fourth spot.

UP dropped a 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 24-26, match at the hands of UAAP rival Adamson University just four days after whipping San Sebastian College in three sets.

The Blazers, meanwhile, are on a precarious position of missing the cut the race for the last three Final Four berths. Unbeaten UST took the punched the first semis ticket.

CSB holds a 1-3 card tied with San Beda University.
