National University sets its sights on claiming a semifinals seat.
National University shoots for Final Four seat on Wednesday in a showdown with San Beda University in a tight five-game playdate of the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference men's division at the FilOil Flying Centre in San Juan.
Sporting a 6-1 win-loss record behind league-leading and semis-bound University of Sto. Tomas, the Bulldogs engage the Red Spikers at 2:00 p.m.
Top hitter Bryan Bagunas is expected return to active duty after skipping NU’s close-shaved five-set escape over Adamson University last Saturday. Bagunas skipped the match to compete in the Beach Volleyball Republic Open Manila leg.
San Beda holds a 2-5 win-loss record tied with De La Salle University and University of Perpetual Help.
Meanwhile, the unbeaten Tigers look to add winless Arellano University as its eighth victim in the curtain-raiser at 8:00 a.m.
DLSU and Perpetual try to keep their semis hopes alive in a clash at 10:00 a.m., Far Eastern University (4-3) and College of St. Benilde (4-3) meet at 12:00 noon while Adamson (4-3) and University of the Philippines close the long day in their 6:00 p.m. collision.
