University of the Philippines tries to formalize its entry in the Final Four.
University of the Philippines will try to avoid the complications of a playoff as the Lady Maroons look to formalize their entry in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference Final Four.
Sporting a 3-3 win-loss card and with two other teams vying for the last semifinals seat, UP can clinch the berth with a win over San Beda University on Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Game time is at 4:00 p.m. and will air via livestream.
UP is coming off a five-set loss to Far Eastern University a week ago.
The Lady Red Spikers hold a 2-4 slate and can still force a playoff for the last semis ticket with a win. But San Beda must take the victory in three or four sets to earn a favorable quotient.
In case of a three-way tie at 3-4, the two teams with better quotients will battle in a playoff on Wednesday.
