Far Eastern University marched into the Final Four to face top seed National University.
Far Eastern University made short work College of St. Benilde to march into the Final Four and set up a best-of-three showdown against top seed National University in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference men's division.
What was expected to be a tight playoff battle for the last semifinals seat turned into a one-sided affair as the Tamaraws swept the Blazers, 25-19, 25-20, 25-18, Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
John Paul Bugaoan led the way for FEU, which tied CSB at 5-4 record after the elims, with 15 points off 11 attacks and four kill blocks.
Peter Quiel posted 11 markers while Raymond Bautista and Mark Calado combined for 12 points for the Tams, who exacted sweet revenge over their elimination round tormentors in just an hour and four minutes.
The Final Four will begin on Saturday. University of Sto. Tomas and Adamson University will faceoff in the other semis pairing.
Francis Basilan was the only CSB player in double figures with 10 points while Joshua De Sequera and Ruvince Abrot combined for 17 markers.
