PVL: Tigresses zero in on Finals seat
University of Sto. Tomas goes for the kill to punch a Finals ticket.

University of Sto. Tomas sets its sights on formally clinching a championship seat Saturday in Game 2 of the best-of-three Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference Final Four against Far Eastern University at the FilOil Flyoing V Centre in San Juan.

The Tigresses look to finish off the Lady Tamaraws at 2:00 p.m. in a match that will air via livestream.

Behind rookie Eya Laure and Fil-Italian Milenna Alessandrini’s explosive outing, the Espana-based squad drew first blood, 16-25, 26-24, 25-18, 25-23, last Wednesday to move a step closer to the best-of-three Finals.

But the Lady Tams won’t let their old UAAP rivals to easily punch a ticket into the championship round.

The UAAP Season 80 runners up and last year’s tournament second placer hope to extend the series into a do-or-die on Sunday.
