PVL: Pablico wins MVP award

Paolo Pablico of Adamson University was named Most Valuable Player.
Adamson University’s Paolo Pablico bested the rest of the field with his superb performance to claim the highest individual honor in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference men’s play.
The Falcons skipper pocketed the Most Valuable Player award after averaging 15.1 points per game with 41.34% success rate in attacks during the elimination round.
Pablico, who also bagged the 2nd Best Outside Spiker award, placed third in the scoring department and eighth in the attacking percentage.
“Nakaka-overwhelm at nakakagulat talaga kasi ang raming magagaling na player sa kabilang teams and fourth place lang kami,” said Pablico. “Ine-expect ko talaga 'yung nasa championship games.”
Bryan Bagunas of National University was named 1st Best Outside Spiker after topping the attacking department with a 53.97% success rate in attacks. He was also picked as Finals MVP after leading the Bulldogs to the throne with sweet sweep of University of Sto. Tomas.
John Paul Bugaoan of Far Eastern University took the 1st Best Blocker award while the 2nd Best Blocker recognition was given to University of Sto. Tomas’ Jayvee Sumagaysay.
UST’s Joshua Umandal and Timothy Tajanlangit were named Best Opposite Spiker and Best Setter, respectively, while Ricky Marcos of NU bagged the Best Libero citation.
