Eight teams led by crowd-favorite Cool Smashers battle for crown and glory in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Collegiate Conference starting September 22.
Star-studded powerhouse team Creamline looms as the favorite in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference.
The Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado-led Cool Smashers will try to extend their reign into the all-Filipino tournament set to begin on September 22 after ruling the Reinforced Conference just months ago.
But Creamline is sure to face a tough battle in its quest to claim its second crown with seven other teams vying for the title vacated by BaliPure, which skipped this year’s competition.
Last year’s conference runner-up Pocari Sweat-Air Force is back to settle an unfinished business.
A more experienced and intact Banko will also shoot for the gold after a third place finish in the import-laden conference while Petro Gazz, Tacloban, Adamson-Akari and Iriga also pose as contenders for the throne.
But the most exciting addition to the field is the participation of Ateneo de Manila University-Motolite.
The Lady Eagles skipped the Collegiate Conference to rebuild their team after the departure of some key players and the addition of new recruits.
This will also serve as a baptism of fire for new Ateneo women’s volleyball coach Oliver Almadro.
