PVL Open Conference: Fighting Warays to bring better fight
Tacloban will bring a new fight in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference.
Nowhere to go but up.
After languishing at the cellar in its debut, Tacloban wants nothing but to show its vast improvement as the Fighting Warays march in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference wars.
The Nes Pamilar-mentored squad will parade an intact lineup for the all-Filipino tournament slated to begin on September 22.
Tacloban had a promising campaign early in the Reinforced Conference, ending up in third place after the preliminary round. But the Fighting Warays failed to sustain their run as they went winless in the round-robin quarterfinals.
Now on an even ground with the rest of the eight-team field, Tacloban will bank on their familiarity and chemistry for a better stint this time.
All eyes will be on the trio of former NCAA Most Valuable Player Shola Alvarez, Jovielyn Prado and Judith Abil, who are expected to banner the Fighting Warays in the Open Conference.
