Pocari Sweat-Air Force won its second straight match in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference.
IMUS CITY --- Pocari Sweat-Air Force continued its rise after an opening day loss as the Lady Warriors added more woes to a slumping Iriga-Navy, 25-18, 25-18, 25-20, Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at the Imus Sports Complex here.
Myla Pablo, May Ann Pantino and Del Palomata did most of the damage for Pocari Sweat’s second straight win for a 2-1 record.
It took some time for the Lady Warriors warm up but when Pocari Sweat got their game going, the Lady Oragons failed to give an answer as they fell to their third straight defeat in as many outings.
Pablo played in all three sets and scored 11 points, with all but one coming off attacks while adding 17 digs and eight excellent receptions for Pocari Sweat.
Pantino finished with 12 while Palomata had eight markers in just two sets of action.
The Lady Warriors opened the match slow, trailing by as much as six, 16-10, in the first frame. But Pocari Sweat kept its composure as Pablo sparked a closing 15-1 rally including nine straight markers to put the set away.
Pocari Sweat sustained its momentum in the next two sets to cruise to an easy win.
Divine Eguia was the only Lady Oragon in double digits with 11 while Florence Madulid and Nicole Guyguyon combined for 13.
