Eli Soyud of Adamson University will be out for six to eight weeks following a left meniscus surgery.
Adamson University opposite hitter and top scorer Eli Soyud will be out for six to eight weeks after undergoing meniscus surgery on her left knee.
Soyud skipped the Lady Falcons’ debut game against Tacloban in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference on Sunday.
The veteran hitter was watched from the sidelines as Adamson dropped a straight sets, 21-25, 12-25, 22-25, loss to the Fighting Warays at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
“Actually last season pa (nararamdaman). Nag-surgery na talaga,” said Soyud, who underwent operation last Wednesday.
Soyud played through pain in the Collegiate Conference where the Lady Falcons won third place and bagged the Best Opposite Spiker award.
Soyud expects to get back in action in the second round of the double-round robin elimination.
