Alyssa Valdez pounded 22 points to lead Creamline in a straight sets win over listless Adamson-Akari.
Creamline schooled Adamson-Akari on Wednesday with a 73-minute volleyball clinic at the FilOil Flying V Centre.
Alyssa Valdez and Jema Galanza wreaked havoc on offense as the Cool Smashers collected their third straight win with a 25-16, 25-9, 25-20 drubbing of the Lady Falcons in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference.
Creamline barely felt the absence of veteran middle Michele Gumabao, who flew to Albania to represent the country in the 2018 Miss Globe, with Valdez taking care of the offense with 22 points.
Valdez unleashed 15 attacks, landed four aces with three kill blocks in the Cool Smashers' third win in four outings to tie idle Pocari Sweat-Air Force, which they will face next on Sunday.
Former Queen Falcon Galanza displayed her efficiency on offense and defense with 11 points with all but one coming off kills while adding 13 digs and eight excellent receptions.
Despite an easy crushing of the younger Adamson-Akari side, Valdez had nothing but kind words to the wards of head coach Air Padda.
“They’re potential sa floor defense medyo siguro kailangan talaga sa side namin kailangan matyaga kami kasi malakas sila sa floor defense,” she said. “But I think medyo nag-struggle sila tapos madami silang miscommunication but I think they pretty did well.”
Seldom-used Jem Gutierrez delivered eight points, Coleen Bravo got six while Pau Soriano retuned after recovering from a knee injury and chipped in three points in two sets of action for the Cool Smashers.
Adamson-Akari absorbed its fourth loss in as many outings with no Lady Falcon scoring in double figures.
Krich Macaslang had seven points while Bernadette Flora and Chiara Permentilla were limited to a combined seven-point outing.
