PVL: Winless teams to part ways
Can Adamson-Akari finally end a six-game losing skid?

After getting pummeled in their first six games, Adamson-Akari and Iriga-Navy will get a chance to slot a win on Saturday in the battle of winless teams in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Action begins at 6:00 p.m. and will air live on LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

Both the Lady Falcons and Lady Oragons are winless in six games and are languishing at the bottom of the standings.

Adamson-Akari showed its brilliance on floor defense after pushing Ateneo-Motolite to the limit. But the Lady Falcons crumbled in the crucial stretch to absorb a stinging 25-17, 23-25, 20-25, 25-21, 12-15, loss last Sunday.

Still, Adamson-Akari head coach Air Padda hopes to bank on their decent outing the last time out to finally end a long drought.

Meanwhile, Iriga-Navy paraded its new recruits in veteran Army players Nene Bautista, Joanne Bunag and libero Tin Agno but even with seasoned reinforcements the Lady Oragons still fell victim to Ateneo-Motolite last week, 19-25, 27-29, 14-25.
