PVL: Fighting Warays seek third win in a row
Tacloban seeks to extend its winning streak to three.

Fueled by its good fortune of late, Tacloban seeks to claim its third straight win in a rematch with Iriga-Navy in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference Sunday at the Batangas City Coliseum.

Action begins at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

The Fighting Warays scored back-to-back upset victories over Pocari Sweat-Air Force, all in five sets.

With new addition Dimdim Pacres in the fold, Tacloban is slowly making a run for a Final Four spot.

“Nakikita ko unti-unti nagma-mature na. ‘Yung maturity every game nadadagdagan na,” said Fighting Warays mentor Nes Pamilar.

Tacloban, which defeated the Lady Oragons 25-17, 25-17, 25-19, in their first meeting last month, is tied with Pocari Sweat with a 4-4 win-loss record.

Meanwhile, the Iriga-Navy eyes its first back-to-back win of the conference after sweeping Adamson-Akari Saturday night in Imus.

The Lady Oragons sport a 2-7 slate.
