PVL: Lady Eagles gun for at least a Final Four playoff
Ateneo-Motolite shoots to secure at least a playoff for a Final Four berth.

Red hot Ateneo-Motolite tries to move closer to securing a semifinals berth when the Lady Eagles face Iriga-Navy in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Sunday.

The game, which takes place at 6:00 PM, will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

The Lady Eagles are on a roll in the second round after taking down Pocari Sweat-Air Force, title-favorite Creamline and Tacloban to solidify their hold of the solo top spot.

Ateneo-Motolite sports an 8-2 win-loss record, two games clear of second-running BanKo (6-2) and Creamline (6-2).

The usual suspects led by skipper Bea De Leon, Maddie Madayag, Kat Tolentino and rookie Vanessa Gandler led the Lady Eagles past the Fighting Warays, 25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, Saturday and are expected to do the same against the Lady Oragons, who they defeated in straight sets in the first round.

Iriga-Navy holds a 3-8 card and is coming off a straight sets loss to PetroGazz Saturday.
