PVL: Angels out to boost semis bid
PetroGazz hunts for its third straight win and boost its bid for a Final Four berth.

PetroGazz seeks to continue its winning run and solidify its bid for a semifinal berth when the Angels cross paths with Pocari Sweat-Air Force Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Coming off a good start in their second round campaign, PetroGazz marches back into action at 4:00 p.m. with its eyes fixed on plucking its third straight win.

The match will air live on LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

The Angels are currently at solo fourth spot with a 5-3 win-loss record ahead of the Lady Warriors, who sport a 4-5 mark.

A win by PetroGazz will lock idle Ateneo-Motolite the first Final Four spot while formally booting out winless Adamson-Akari in the race for a semis berth.

The Angels defeated Iriga-Navy in straight sets last Saturday and are now looking at avenging a five-set loss to Pocari Sweat in their first meeting.

The Lady Warriors are down with back-to-back losses and a dropped four of their last five outings.
