PVL: Lady Eagles seek bounce back win and semis seat
Ateneo-Motolite will once again try to book a semis ticket.

Ateneo-Motolite suffered a stinging setback in its attempt to advance to the Final Four.

Back in action less than 24 hours after absorbing their third loss, the Lady Eagles march into battle on Sunday against winless Adamson-Akari, hoping to clinch a semifinals seat this time in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Game time is at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

Ateneo-Motolite saw its four-game winning streak snapped by first round tormentor BanKo, 24-26, 22-25, 16-25, Saturday night in Malolos, Bulacan. The Lady Eagles slid to second place with a 9-3 win-loss record.

But Ateneo-Motolite remains to be the favored team compared to the Lady Falcons, who have yet to taste victory in the season-ending conference.

Adamson-Akari is already eliminated in the Final Four race with a 0-9 slate, but the Lady Falcons could still give the Lady Eagles a huge challenge especially with Ateneo-Motolite barely escaping them during their first encounter in five sets.
