BanKo defeated Creamline in five sets to move up to solo lead.
BanKo outlasted Creamline in an exciting battle between powerhouse teams, 12-25, 25-23, 19-25, 26-24, 15-12, Saturday for its second straight win that boosted its chances of claiming the Final Four top spot in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference.
The Perlas Spikers exacted revenge over their first round tormentors to improve to 10-3 win-loss record in a resounding win at the Xavier University Gym in Cagayan De Oro.
Nicole Tiamzon paced BanKo, which will close the elims on Nov. 24 against Tacloban in Batangas City Coliseum, with 21 points while Dzi Gervacio had 15 markers.
The Cool Smashers absorbed its third defeat in 12 matches.
Alyssa Valdez dropped 24 points while Jema Galanza had 23 markers in a lost cause for Creamline, which will wrap the elims against PetroGazz and Adamson-Akari.
