Creamline and BanKo rekindle rivalry in a marquee match in Cagayan de Oro.
Title favorites Creamline and BanKo collide in a battle of heavyweights on Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference in Cagayan de Oro.
Already assured of spots in the best-of-three semifinals, the Cool Smashers and Perlas Spikers are now both looking to build momentum heading into the Final Four.
The winner of the 4:00 p.m. rematch will not only get a morale boost but will also strengthen its bid for a good position in the semis.
Creamline holds a 9-2 win-loss record in solo second spot behind league-leading Ateneo-Motolite (10-3). Just half a game behind is BanKo, which sports a 9-3 card.
The Cool Smashers are eyeing their fourth straight win. Behind top hitter Alyssa Valdez, Creamline easily dismantled Iriga-Navy, 25-12, 25-13, 26-24, last Wednesday to clinch a semis seat.
BanKo is also coming off a 27-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-20, win over Pocari Sweat-Air Force the last time out to advance in the semis.
The Perlas Spikers want payback after bowing down in straight sets to Creamline in the first round.
