BATANGAS CITY --- Creamline claimed the no. 1 seed in the Final Four after a cakewalk, 25-7, 25-11, 25-10, win Saturday over hapless Adamson-Akari to close the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference the Batangas City Coliseum here.

The Cool Smashers finished the two-round elims with an 11-3 win-loss slate tied with BanKo but clinched the top seed by virtue of higher tiebreak (34-32, points earned).  Creamline will face no. 4 seed PetroGazz in the best-of-three semifinals starting Wednesday. The Cool Smashers and Angels split their elims head-to-head.

BanKo takes on Ateneo-Motolite in the other Final Four pairing.

Local pride Alyssa Valdez from the town of San Juan posted 19 points from 13 kills, three kill blocks and three aces while tallying nine digs for the Cool Smashers, who pummeled the Lady Falcons with 42 attack points.

Risa Sato, Michele Gumabao and Jema Galanza scored eight markers each for Creamline, which punished the Lady Falcons 12 service aces and limited their miscues to only seven compared to Adamson's 17.

It was an easy win for the Cool Smashers, who were never threatened the whole match.

Skipper Eli Soyud had six points to pace Adamson while Ceasa Pinar and Krich Macaslang combined for 10 markers. The Lady Falcons finished their campaign without a single win in 14 outings.
