PVL: Perlas Spikers prime for semis, face Fighting Warays
BanKo tries to prime up for the Final Four.

BanKo looks to build momentum heading into the Final Four when the Perlas Spikers take on Tacloban at the end of the Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference double-round robin eliminations Saturday at the Batangas City Coliseum.

Action begins at 2:00 p.m. and will air live on LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

BanKo is tied with Creamline with a 10-3 win-loss in a share of the lead.

The Perlas Spikers can clinch the no. 1 seeding in the best-of-three semifinals starting on Wednesday if they hurdle the Fighting Warays coupled by a Cool Smashers loss to listless Adamson-Akari.

In case of a tie at 11-3, Creamline will still clinch the top seed in the Final Four against PetroGazz by virtue of higher points earned. The Perlas Spikers will occupy the no. 2 spot and will face their elims victim Ateneo-Motolite.

BanKo is coming off back-to-back victories including a five-set escape over Creamline in Cagayan de Oro and is looking to duplicate its four-set first round win over spoiler-seeking Tacloban.

The Fighting Warays will be playing with nothing to lose as they already bowed out of semis contention.

Tacloban, which holds a 6-7 card, seeks to close the season-ending campaign on a high note.
