BanKo faces off with elimination round victim Ateneo-Motolite at the start of their PVL Season 2 Open Conference best-of-three Final Four series.

BanKo will have the psychological advantage over Ateneo-Motolite when the two clash Wednesday to begin their Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference best-of-three Final Four showdown at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Perlas Spikers closed the two-round eliminations with an 11-3 win-loss record tied with Creamline. The Cool Smashers took the No. 1 seed via higher tiebreak.

Led by former Ateneo star Dzi Gervacio, BanKo destroyed the Lady Eagles in their two elims meetings. The Perlas Spikers silenced Ateneo-Motolite,

27-25, 25-19, 25-11, last Oct. 7 before duplicating it last Nov. 10 with another dominating 26–24, 25-22, 25-16 victory.

Aside from Gervacio head coach Dong dela Cruz will also bank on Nicole Tiamzon, Kathy Bersola, Amanda Villanueva, Joy Dacoron, Sue Roces and Sasa Devanadera, who scored her personal conference-high 17 points last Saturday as BanKo waylaid Adamson-Akari in straight sets.

Ateneo-Motolite will pin its hopes on Bea De Leon, Maddie Madayag, Kat Tolentino and rookie Vanessa Gandler.

Game 2 is on Saturday.
