Creamline star Jema Galanza came into the Cool Smashers’ best-of-three Premier Volleyball League Season 2 Open Conference Final Four match against PetroGazz on Wednesday with extra motivation.
She made sure that there will a double celebration on this special day.
Galanza gave her teammates a birthday blowout as she poured 24 points in the Cool Smashers’ 26-28, 25-15, 25-13, 25-16, Game 1 win over the Angels that pushed Creamline a win closer to a return stint in the Finals.
“Siyempre magandang gift ito sa akin,” said Galanza, who turned 22. Sobrang happy.”
The former Adamson Queen Falcon played an inspired game as she tallied 22 attack points in 49 attempts while adding 18 excellent receptions for the Cool Smashers.
Unfortunately, not all of Galanza’z wishes were granted.
“Sana manalo Adamson,” she said as the UAAP Season 81 men’s basketball Final Four winner-take-all match between Adamson and University of the Philippines came down to a thrilling windup at the Big Dome.
Well, we all knew what happened to that game right?
