From Pocari to Motolite
Following Myla Pablo's release from Pocari Sweat, the former face of the Lady Warriors confirmed her move to Motolite.
"Yeah, Motolite na," Pablo said after watching the Game 3 of the Motolite-backed Ateneo Lady Eagles versus BanKo Perlas in the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Pablo previously signed a five-year contract with Pocari in December 2016. With the agreement still active, Motolite decided to take on the remaining years of Pablo's contract.
With the two-time Premier Volleyball League MVP's move, it shows Motolite's intention to create its own club team.
However, as of press time, not much details are still available regarding the build of the team.
"Wala pang signing contract na nangyayari kasi nga yung iba UAAP pa talaga yung ibang players so paguusapan pa namin next year pa January. Wala pa kong idea sinong teammates at sinong coaches, no idea pa," said Myla while wearing a Motolite cap.
As for Pocari, Pablo is still yet to know the reason behind the buyout.
"Wala pa talaga siguro next week pa ako pupunta sa Pocari for meeting siyempre kailangan ko magpaalam ng maayos sa meeting and siyempre gusto ko rin malaman kung ano ba talagang nangyari kung bakit nirelease ako ng ganun," she said.
The former National University standout carried Pocari to three championships in the PVL namely the 2016 Open and Reinforced and the 2017 Reinforced Conference titles.
