PVL: New team, new journey for Motolite’s Myla Pablo
Ang ibinigay sa akin na team ngayon ay mas competitive ngayong year na ‘to -- Myla Pablo

Motolite franchise player Myla Pablo is both elated and confident with her new team in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference set to begin next month.

The veteran hitter will lead a squad composed of young stars from the collegiate ranks, making newcomer Motolite as one of the teams to watch in the season-opening import-laden tournament.

“Ang ibinigay sa akin na team ngayon ay mas competitive ngayong year na ‘to,” said Pablo on Thursday during the S+A Volleytball Grand Fans Day at the Trinoma Activity Center.

Pablo will have reigning PVL Collegiate Conference Best Libero Thang Ponce and Adamson University teammate Eli Soyud along with University of the Philippines stars Isa Molde, Marist Layug, Tots Carlos and setter Ayel Estranero as well as Fhen Emnas and Jellie Tempiatura by her side. Motolite is also tapping two foreign reinforcements.

“Sobrang kompiyansa ako sa team ko ngayon kasi alam kong sa mga teammates ko na magtutulong-tulong kami as a team then ibibigay namin ang best namin hanggang matapos ang liga na ‘to,” said Pablo, who was acquired by Motolite through a buyout of her contract from Pocari Sweat.

The Lady Warriors skipped this tournament’s edition after a disappointing finish in last year’s season-ending Open Conference. The National University product led the Lady Warriors in copping the inaugural Reinforced Conference crown.

Motolite is yet to complete its lineup and start its build up for the conference but Pablo is in high spirits.

“New team, new journey with Motolite. Mga bata ang mga kasama ko siguro as an Ate siguro ang maibibigay ko lang sa kanila ay ibibigay ko ang best ko. Ibibigay ko ang pagiging Ate ko and yung attitude ko sa loob ng court,” said Pablo, who has fully recovered from a lower back injury that bothered her throughout the last two seasons.
