PVL: Injury bug bites Motolite anew
Motolite's Bosnian import Edina Selimovic suffered a minor knee injury.

The injury bug continues to torment Motolite after Bosnian import Edina Selimovic hurt her knee.

Motolite marched into its second of back-to-back games during the weekend limping after Selimovic was ruled out for the game against league-leading PetroGazz on Sunday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Selimovic sustained a minor knee injury in the fourth set of Motolite’s 21-25, 21-25, 25-23, 21-25 debut loss to PacificTown Army on Saturday. She is set to undergo an MRI and did not join the team in their showdown with the Angels.

Selimovic scored 15 points in her first game. The reinforcement is in her second PVL stint after playing just a couple of games for Pocari Sweat in 2017 following a hamstring injury and was replaced by American Krystal Rivers.

The new squad first lost their Cuban import Gygy Silva to a shoulder injury just days before the start of the conference and was replaced by Channon Thompson of Trinidad and Tobago.

Motolite has yet to see top local hitter Myla Pablo in action after sustaining a lower back injury.
