PVL: Motolite hunts for first win
Motolite continues its search for a breakthrough win when it takes on BanKo.

Newcomer Motolite will try to end a two-game slump in as showdown with bounce back-seeking BanKo on Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Game time is at 5:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183, iWant and via livestream.

Motolite will march into battle limping with Bosnian import Edina Selimovic out because of a knee injury and top local hitter Myla Pablo nursing a sore lower back.

The new squad dropped its first two games and is tied with BaliPure at the bottom of the 6-team field.

Motolite suffered a 22-25, 18-25, 19-25, defeat at the hands of league-leading PetroGazz on Saturday.

Channon Thompson, who is averaging 22 points per outing, will again shoulder most of the scoring load and will need all the help she can get from locals Isa Molde, Tots Carlos and Eli Soyud.

On the other hand, the Perlas Spikers are at solo fourth spot with a 1-2 win-loss slate.

BanKo is coming off a four-set loss to defending champion Creamline last Sunday.

American Kia Bright and Turkish import Yasemin Yildirim, who was limited to only three points in their last outing, will spearhead the Perlas Spikers advance with Nicole Tiamzon, Dzi Gervacio and Kathy Bersola as backup.
