Kapamilya star Matet de Leon added to the growing number of celebrities enjoying some local volleyball action.
The actress brought her family to the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Wednesday to watch the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference double header.
De Leon was with her husband, Mickey Estrada and daughters Mikaela, Mishka and Mia.
12-year old Mishka, her mom revealed, plays varsity volleyball as an opposite spiker and is a big fan together with her Ate Mikaela of BanKo’s middle blocker Kathy Bersola.
Her daughters, according to De Leon, inherited their father’s inclination to sport. Estrada played varsity basketball for University of the East and National University.
“‘Yung mga anak ko varsity rin sila kaya ito kahit papaano learning experience rin sa kanila,” said De Leon, who admitted that last time she played volleyball was during her Grade 6 P.E. class. “Natututo sila habang nanonood at naiinspire sila.
De Leon added that watching volleyball games live serve gives her a chance to bond with her family as a respite to her hectic taping schedule for her morning teleserye ‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit’.
“Bonding na rin namin siya,” she said.
‘Nang Ngumiti ang Langit’ airs weekdays before ‘It’s Showtime’.
