Myla Pablo's debut for Motolite remains up in the air.
Myla Pablo’s availability to see action for Motolite’s back-to-back weekend schedule remains up in the air depending on head coach Air Padda.
The hitter, who has yet to see action in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference because of a lower back injury, said that she’s ready to play.
But all will depend on Padda’s decision.
“Pero depende pa kay coach kasi maganda naman nilalaro ni Isa (Molde) eh,” said the two-time conference Most Valuable Player.
Motolite has yet to win a game after dropping its first three games. The squad also replaced injured Bosnian import Edina Selimovic with Krystel Esdelle of Trinidad and Tobago last Wednesday.
Motolite is taking Pablo’s condition day-to-day.
“Because we don’t want her to go back to her same recurring injury, we want her to heal,” said Motolite assistant coach Godfrey Okumu. “Because she has a very bright future with the team, we really need her.”
Motolite has a young and athletic core of players coming from University of the Philippines and Adamson University but is missing the veteran presence of Pablo.
“If she was there, she’s the only person with a lot of experience so we need her and we are praying for her to recover quickly so she can finally play for the team,” said Okumu.
Motolite will take on defending champion Creamline on Saturday and BaliPure on Sunday.
