BanKo and PacificTown Army face off in a crucial battle for the no. 3 seat in the Final Four as the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference elimination round comes to a close on Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Tied at 4-5 win-loss records, the winner of the 2:00 p.m. encounter will join PetroGazz and defending champion Creamline in the best-of-three semifinals.
The match will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183, iWant and via livestream.
The two teams are coming off contrasting results with the Perlas Spikers riding the crest of their back-to-back victories over Motolite and BaliPure.
Nicole Tiamzon played clutch in BanKo’s last two outings averaging 19 points per game. The Perlas Spikers will again pin their hopes on Tiamzon with Kathy Bersola, Sue Roces and imports Sutadta Chuewulim of Thailand and Yasemin Yildirim backing her up.
The Lady Troopers, meanwhile, are looking to end a two-game slide at the hands of the Angels and the Cool Smashers.
Ukranian Lena Lymareva-Flink, American Jenelle Jordan and veterans Jovelyn Gonzaga and Royse Tubino need to get their acts together to make a repeat of their five-se first round win over BanKo and formally clinch a semis seat.
The loser of the match will fall into a playoff for the last semis seat on Sunday in case Motolite (3-6) hurdles PetroGazz.
