Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. will wait for the results of the Premier Volleyball League’s investigation on BaliPure import Danijela Dzakovic regarding the incident where the Montenegrin hit teammate Jewelle Bermillo on the head following a miscue on Saturday.
The sports’ governing body on Sunday said that LVPI will only make necessary actions once the league submitted its report.
“LVPI shall wait for the results of the PVL investigation before anything else,” said LVPI Board member Peter Cayco, who just resigned from his post as president last June 12.
Fans and local players showed their outrage through social media after Dzakovic smacked the libero on the back of her head after a case of miscommunication to keep the ball in play that resulted to an error and with the Water Defenders losing the first set to defending champion Creamline in the PVL Season 3 Reinforced Conference.
The import immediately hugged and apologized to Bermillo after her reaction triggered by frustration.
BaliPure eventually bowed down to Creamline, 19-25, 15-25, 18-25, and finished the conference winless in 10 games.
