PVL: Perlas Spikers shoot for ‘bronze grand slam’
BanKo shoots for its third straight bronze medal finish.

BanKo goes for the series clincher against PacificTown Army to claim its third straight bronze medal finish on Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Reinforced Conference battle for third at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series is at 2:00 p.m. and will air live on on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183, iWant and via livestream.

The Perlas Spikers showed grit in a thrilling 25-27, 10-25, 27-25, 26-24, 16-14, come-from-behind win in Game 1 on Wednesday.

BanKo must win to formally bag the podium spot and avoid falling into precarious Game 3 or a possible tiebreak in case of a tied series coupled with the championship showdown between defending champion Creamline and PetroGazz ending in two games.

If the Perlas Spikers lose to the Lady Troopers in the pivotal second game and the Finals series ends in two matches, PacificTown Army can steal the third place trophy if they win in three or four sets.

The Lady Troopers can also bag the bronze if ever they win via five sets, depending on the points they earned following the FIVB ruling on tiebreaks.
