Judoka Watanabe drops PHI's sixth SEA Games gold medal

Judoka Kiyomi Watanabe brings the sixth gold for the Philippines with her triumph in women's 57-63 kg.
SINGAPORE --- Another gold medal fell into the lap of Team Philippines in the 28th Southeast Asian Games courtesy of judoka Kiyomi Watanabe in the 57-63 kg. division.
Watanabe won by Ippon against Thai opponent Orapin Senathan in the 3:36 mark to add more gold medal in the country’s collection Sunday in the duel held at the Singapore Expo Hall 2 here.
The 18-year-old Filipino-Japanese defeated host bet Tania Su Wen Forichon by Ippon before taking down Vietnamese Thi Huong Nguyen in the Pool match on her way to the finals.
Nguyen and Forichon both walked away with bronze.
