Twin gold expected in wakeboarding
Two more gold medals are expected to add to Team Philippines' medal tally from wakeboarding.

SINGAPORE --- Team Philippines could be looking forward for a possible two more gold medals in the 28th Singapore Southeast Asian Games after Mark Howard Griffin and Maquel John Selga advanced to men’s and women’s finals of wakeboarding at the Bedok Reservoir here on Thursday.

Griffing garnered 68.33 points in topping his semifinal heat and his main opposition could come from Thailand’s Jaemjan Padwat, who had the best overall score in topping the other semifinal heat with 75 points.

Selga placed second in her semis heat with 34.44 points topped by Singapore’s Sasha Christian, who had the best overall tally among the qualifiers with 61.45 points

Set for Friday are the women’s wakeboard finals at 12:30 p.m. followed by the men’s finals at 1:00 p.m.
