PHI wakeboarders settle for twin bronze medals

The Philippines salvages two bronze medals in the wakeboard event of the 28th Southeast Asian Games.
SINGAPORE - Filipino wakeboard athletes added a pair of bronze medals to the country’s medal output on Friday in the 28th Singapore Southeast Asian Games at the Bedok Reservoir here.
Maiquel John Selga tallied 30.89 points in placing third behind Singapore’s Sasha Christian and Indonesia’s Galuh Maldinah Maulidinia, who copped the gold and silver medal with scores of 59.00 points and 43.11 points, respectively.
Mark Howard Griffin scored 69 points in taking the bronze medal of the event won handily by Thailand’s Padiwat Jaemjan (79.33) while compatriot Tatsa Kuakoonrat took the silver (72.11).
Wakeboarding is making its debut in this SEA Games.
