Philippines bags first 2017 SEA Games medal via Sepak Takraw

The Philippines got their medal of the 2017 Southeast Asian games, Wednesday afternoon after bagging the silver medal in the Men's Chinlone Event 3 (Linking) portion of the Sepak Takraw tournament in Kuala Lumpur.
The Philippines scored 293 points in the preliminary round, behind Malaysia's 376 points, setting up a Finals matchup with the host country.
In the Final, the Pinoy contingent came up short, scoring only 271 points to Malaysia's 391, good for a runner-up finish.
Team Philippines was made up of John-John Bobier, Rhemwil Catana, Emmanuel Escote, Ronsited Gabayeron, Joeart Jumawan, John Carlo Lee, John Jeffrey Morcillos, Regie Pabriga, and Alvin Pangan.
