Cray defends 400m. hurdles, falls short in century dash

Eric Cray of the Philippines dominated the men's 400-meter hurdles event of the 29th Southeast Asian Games. Cray clocked 50.03 seconds to win the gold medal.
KUALA LUMPUR --- Filipino-American Eric Cray ended Team Philippines’ productive day with another gold medal after winning the men’s 400m hurdles Tuesday night in the 29th Southeast Asian Games at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium here.
Cray defended his throne in his pet event for a third straight 400m. hurdles gold medal in the biennial meet as he clocked in at 50.03 seconds. His golden finish jacked up Team PHI's gold medal haul to eight.
With just less than an hour of rest, Cray again stepped on the starting line but fell short in retaining his 100m. run crown.
He clocked 10.43 seconds to settle for a silver medal.
