With just three points in four matches played, the Philippines have been eliminated from contention, as they drop to fourth place in Group B.
The Pinoys have one match left in the group stages, against Timor-Leste on Thursday, August 24th at 4:00 PM.
The women's team were on the opposite end of an offensive onlsaught as they fell to Myanmar, 0-6, at the UM Arena Stadium.
The Myanmar team started hot, going up 4-0 in just the first 20 minutes of the contest. They scored twice more in the second half to secure the 6-0 victory.
The Filipinas suffer their second straight loss and sit at fourth place with three points. With one match left, they are no longer in contention for a podium finish.
