Philippine National Women's Volleyball Team wraps up training camp in Bangkok

The Nationals wrapped up their training camp on Tuesday.
The Philippine national women’s volleyball team wrapped up its Bangkok, Thailand training camp with a 28-26, 17-25, result over Japanese club team Toray Arrows on Tuesday morning.
The Filipinas played only two sets against the Japan V. Premier League runners-up and called it a day as they prepare for their travel to Nakhon Ratchasima for the inaugural ASEAN Grand Prix set for Sept. 20-22.
It was the Nationals’ second tune-up match against the Japanese team that concluded their six practice games as part of their buildup for the Grand Prix.
Toray Arrows defeated the 14-woman Pinay squad, 24-26, 16-25, 11-25, 18-25, 19-21, on Sunday.
The Nationals lost to Thailand U-23 team, 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 17-25, 13-15, last Monday and only won one set against powerhouse Thailand senior squad, 12-25, 19-25, 12-25, 21-25, 15-9, on Tuesday. The PHI team on Wednesday eked out a 24-26, 26-24, 25-16, 20-25, result in a rematch over the THA U-23 squad before winning all four sets against Bangkok University, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15-, 26-24, last Thursday.
The squad breaks camp on Wednesday morning and will take a bus ride to Nakhon Ratchasima.
