2019 ASEAN Grand Prix: Thailand dominates Indonesia

STA. ROSA, Laguna -- Powerhouse Thailand made quick work of Indonesia, 25-16, 25-17, 25-21, on Friday to start the ASEAN Grand Prix second leg at the Sta. Rosa Multi-purpose Gym here on a high note.
The Thais duplicated their victory over the Indonesians, who they defeated in the gold medal match in the first leg in Nakhon Ratchasima, to join host team Philippines in the win column.
First leg Best Scorer Chatchu-on Moksri scored 17 of her 18 points on attacks and added seven digs for Thailand. Pimpichanya Kokram had 15 markers while crowd darling Pleumjit Thinkaow got seven points for Thais, who are looking to continue their domination in the four-nation tournament.
Pornpun Guedepard tallied 18 excellent sets for Thailand, which outgunned Indonesia, 43-31.
Thailand will take on the undermanned Philippines on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi posted 12 points, all on kills, while Ratri Wulandri got six for Indonesia.
The Indonesians will clash with Vietnam at 3:00 p.m.
