Filipinas open 2019 SEA Games Women's Football campaign vs. Myanmar

A day after the Philippine Under-22 Men's National Football Team opened their campaign with an astonishing come-from-behind draw against Cambodia, the Philippine Women's National Football Team begins their quest for gold in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The Filipinas open their Women's Football campaign against Myanmar at the Biñan Stadium in Biñan, Laguna. Kick-off time will be at 8:00 PM.
After coming in at fourth place in the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, the Filipinas are looking to break a podium finish drought dating back to 1985 when managed a bronze medal finish.
Suiting up for the Filipinas will be a collection of the country's best, led by the likes of National Team veterans Inna Palacios, Patrice Impelido, Hali Long, Sara Castañeda, Cam Rodriguez, and others.
The first challenge for the Pinays will immediately be a tough one, as they face reigning bronze medalists Myanmar.
Apart from looking to open the SEA Games on a positive note, Tuesday's match will be a special one for the Women's National Team, as it will be their first official match in the Philippine in over a decade.
