MANILA — The Philippines is on the board in billiards action at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

The Pinoy pair of Carlo Biado and Johaan Chua got the Philippines its first win, beating Malaysia’s Kok Jken Yung and Muhamad Almie in men’s 9-ball doubles, 9-2, Tuesday at the Manila Hotel Tent.

Biado and Chua got off to a fast start, leading 3-0.

While the final score shows that the Philippines won relatively easy, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for Biado and Chua.

With such a good start, Biado and Chua can only hope to continue to win for the Philippines as the SEA Games goes.

Focus is key as they look to win gold in Manila.

“Malaki chance natin basta wag lang kumpiyansa,” Biado said.

Focus lang,” he added.
