In a preview of their battle for bronze clash, the Philippines and Indonesia get chance to gauge and test their mettle on Saturday when the two teams collide to end the preliminary round of the 30th Southeast Asian Games women’s volleyball competition at the PhilSports Arena.
The winless squads march into action at 6:00 p.m. with both hoping to gain momentum heading to the medal round set on Monday.
“Siyempre mas kailangan namin targetin na ipanalo hanggat maaari kasi yung momentum din,” said PHI head coach Shaq Delos Santos of the pivotal match that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, iWant and via livestream.
The Nationals are coming off a straight sets loss to 11-time defending champion Thailand last Thursday.
But with the way the Filipinas fought in their 16-25, 22-25, 32-34, loss to the Thais, Delos Santos is confident that his wards will be playing an inspired game against the Indonesians.
The 2017 Kuala Lumpur edition silver medalists are coming off a sorry defeat at the hands of Vietnam.
Thailand and Vietnam wil duke it out at 3:30 p.m. in the other end of prelims encounter.
