During the 2010-2011 NBA season, former All-Star Gilbert Arenas dominated the league's sneaker game by rocking a different pair of sneakers almost every night.
By this time in his career, Arenas was on a bit of a decline and was traded mid season from the Washington Wizards to the Orlando Magic. More importantly for this story, though, Arenas was a sneaker free agent after ending his ties with adidas.
This means that "Agent Zero" had free range to wear whatever pair of sneakers he wanted to on game night, pretty much like what Nick Young (Gil's former teammate) was doing early this season, prior to signing with adidas. (That's when he started rocking Yeezys, and even some of Gil's old shoes).
From November of 2010 to April of 2011, Arenas took to the court wearing some really nice player exclusives and rare colorways from Jordan Brand, Nike, Under Armour, Reebok, Fila, and even Dolce and Gabbana.
Arenas even wore some sneakers that were not made for baskeball, but whatever.
The point is, Gil put on some pairs that would make today's sneakerheads wet themselves, like
this Premio BIN 23 pair of Jordan X's that he opened the season with against the Knicks.
The following day, Gil switched it up with some pre-Steph Curry Under Armours (Micro G Supreme)...
...and then some Nike Air Penny 1s.
Arenas closed out November with a trifecta of J's that would make any blue-loving Jordan-head go insane.

And of course, these D&G High Tops. Because why not?
"Agent Zero" also put on some classic Grant Hill and Allen Iverson sigs, and a lot more Jordans that would be a reseller's dream, and they were all documented on a website (http://sneakerchamp.gilbertarenas.com) that was dedicated to Gil's 2010-2011 sneaker adventure.
Gilbert Arenas may no longer be playing professionally, but aside from his memorable scoring performances and his character, people will always remember him as one of the NBA's biggest sneakerheads, and the 2010-2011 NBA Sneaker Champion.
