Skechers Performance will soon unveil its new stability shoe GOrun Forza that features an extended medial post for additional support and Skechers GOrunís signature mid-foot strike technology.
Big name brands like the Swoosh and the three stripes are not the only ones that get to compete for medals in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Skechers is also sending its top runner to Brazil.
Skechers Performance Go Elite athlete, Meb Keflezighi, has once again showcased superior running ability after placing second in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials held last February 13 in Los Angeles. The 40-year-old runner finished strong in 2:12:20 and secured a spot in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team in Men’s Marathon.
This will be Meb’s fourth time to compete in the Olympics.
Armed with Skechers GOrun’s mid-foot strike technology (m-strike), Meb runs faster and achieves maximum efficiency whether on training and on race day. Every GOrun shoe comes with a lightweight body and features the brand’s signature m-strike which promotes mid-foot striking.
This technology helps runners go faster by minimizing ground contact time as the middle of the foot impacts the ground and transitions to forefoot for immediate toe off.
“Skechers Performance has helped me achieve my goals over the past five years and the team’s support through all the highs and lows have been very consistent,” said Meb. “Being 40 years old and training for the Olympic Trials is a huge achievement and Skechers Performance has helped make this possible."
Skechers Performance will soon unveil its new stability shoe GOrun Forza that features an extended medial post for additional support and Skechers GOrun’s signature mid-foot strike technology. At only 10.8 oz, this lightweight shoe has a seamless minimal upper and a molded heel counter for secure fit.
