Yes, some of your favorite players are in the Summer Capital today!
Now in Baguio City for their team building, the Ateneo Blue Eagles are set to appear in a special screening of the “Ignacio de Loyola” today 7 p.m. at SM Baguio. The Eagles are up north weeks before #UAAPseason79 opens, and catching the film together is said to be part of their “workshop.”
The movie, of course, is about the journey of Ateneo’s patron saint Ignatius de Loyola. The film captures Iñigo’s journey from being a soldier to being a man of faith, as he would found the Society of Jesus later in his life. Starring Spanish actor Andreas Muñoz, the movie was also shown last July to kick off Ateneo’s annual Ignatian festival. It has since been shown for three weeks across the country, and the Baguio screening came out of a clamor from fans. So, for Baguio residents and those who happen to be vacationing at the Summer Capital today, you might get to catch your favorite athletes from Ateneo tonight or any of these days!
PS Coach Tab Baldwin will be at the theater, too!
