What to treat your single, sporty self to this Valentine's
What to buy and where to bring your self when you’re all alone (yet again) during this "special" time of the year.

Valentine’s is just around the corner. For those of you guys celebrating it with your special someone’s beside you, feel free to close this window now. For the rest of us single lads celebrating this “special” holiday on our couch, why the frown? Being unattached this Valentine’s is more than a blessing, as we need not have to worry about spending for someone else who, no matter what she tells you about how she appreciates life's simplest pleasures, is, trust me, just waiting for another grand gesture. Now… let that really negative, almost-sexist statement console you. If it doesn’t work, shut yourself out of social media this coming week, just sit on your couch, and suffer through V-Day alone by watching either the current NBA season or the ongoing NCAA women’s volleyball finals series. If al else fails, take yourself around and indulge your sports- and fitness-loving self with these!

A limited edition pair of Nike Flyknit Racer ‘Triple Black’
Here’s something for the sneakerheads with a lot of money but no one to share it with in the meantime—the Midnight Racer! Aside from it looking sexy in black, it’s lightweight and comfortable as with an easily adaptive and secure waffle rubber outsole! Available at Nike Park Fort, BGC, Taguig City.

A Pacsafe for your treks and travels
Soul-searching this Valentine’s by going elsewhere? Spending it by sweating it out at the gym? This brand masterminded by two avid Aussie travelers offers a set of theft-proof bags. How safe is a Pacsafe exactly? Each is crafted with flexible and impenetrable stainless steel mesh, a breakthrough technology patented eXomesh®. Available in Glorietta, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Seaside Cebu. It’s also available in all branches of Urbanize.

A stylish cut at Sports Barbers
Apart from Dennis Rodman, many men are increasingly becoming more conscious of their crown these days. The recently-growing Sports Barbers hinges on this kind of open-mindedness, while infusing the old-school services our fathers loved about their more traditional neighborhood hairstylists. Each shop's interiors are decked out in sports-themed elements to complete the experience! Located at SM North Edsa, SM San Pablo, Laguna, SM San Lazaro, UP Town Center, SM Clark, Ayala Fairview Terraces, SM Mall of Asia, SM Bacoor, SM Bicutan, SM Southmall, SM Cebu, and SM Bacolod.

A pair of Saucony Life on the Run Kineta Relay for your errands
The more-than-a-century shoe brand just released its Kineta collection. Each stylish shoe features the very comfy technology Form2U ultra-plush memory foam footbed. Because of such, it’s one of those shoes that have made the idea of athleisure more socially acceptable these days—you can wear it from the school/office to the mall and then straight to the gym! Available in Saucony stores.

A pair of Nike Zonal Strength Tights for your cardio
Sports giant Nike has fused in more science behind compression tights, by coming up with activity specific-pairs recently. The Zonal Strength Tights come in two versions. The running tights target the thighs and calves, reducing muscle vibration on the parts runners need it most. It is sewn with a “flyvent” waistband that makes it more breathable, and features a four-way stretch fabric for more mobility in the hips and knees. On the other hand, the training tights have a high-rise waistband working on the core, glutes, quads and hamstrings. The flat seams make it easily wearable and efficient as you take on any low or high-impact sesh. Available in all Nike stores.

A visit at Coffee & Protein
For those after the gainz, restos serving greens might not cut it for your pre- and post-workout anymore. Say hello to this newly opened specialty coffee shop, offering macros-packed coffee and snacks. Each listed on the menu comes with corresponding nutrition facts to help you keep track of your calories. Doubtful this might be just some commercial gimmick? The men behind the shop are fitness buffs themselves, including Carlos Benipayo whose other business Oscars Deli serves steak, patties, and brownies loaded with protein! A pair of Pony City Wings
While the American brand especially released the collection for #twinning occurences this Valentine’s, you can still go ahead and purchase something for your solitary life—snaking through the streets, commuting to work, heading to a basket session, and what-have-you. Think the underground scene in 90s NYC while wearing these badass basics!

An entire workout wear from Iron Crew
You might not have a lady spotter/moral supporter at the gym, so you might as well just get yourself some gear to help you get through your strenuous workout. Local online shop Iron Crew has some T-shirts, sweat shorts, and gloves to get you war-ready! Log on to facebook.com/ironcrewkilla.
